SSH to your VPS Server

It’s time to connect your account via shell. If you have VPS account, you get a privilege to access your account via SSH.
In this article we will show you, how to connect your server via SSH.

Step 1. To connect your account via SSH you will need to download Putty which can be done via link Putty download

Step 2. Open Putty, fill out the Hostname or IP Address field with your Hostname(eg. or IP Address. In port field, put 1891.

Step 3. Click on the Open button to proceed further.


Step 4. You will see a black Screen which is called Command Line Window, you will be asked for the SSH username at the login as prompt. Type “root” and then press Enter on your keyboard.


Step 5. Now on the next step, you will also be asked for the SSH password. Type it in and then press Enter on your keyboard. (You can simply copy from welcome email and right click on shell)


Step 6. Congratulations!! You are now successfully logged into your VPS server using SSH access. 🙂


How to enable Update now button for Awstats from cPanel.

In this article we’ll explain the process of manually updating your Awstats reports with the most current data by adding “Update Now” button.
By enabling “Update Now” button for Awstats, you can update your stats and get current visual statistics about visitors of your site.
Let see how it can be done.

Step 1. Login to your cpanel

Step 3. Navigate to /home/username/tmp/awstats/

Step 4. Edit the .conf file (e.g.


Step 5. Look for this line: AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser, set the value to 1 (AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1)


Step 6. Save the .conf file. When you refresh your statistics page. you will get ‘update now’ button at the top of the page.

Connect Your MySQL Database Remotely

If you need to connect to your mysql database using third party software that does not run on the server, such as a MySQL client on your desktop a remote MySQL connection can be made.
In this article we will show you how to connect your mysql database using third party software on your local PC.
To make this possible, first you will have to allow the connection from within cPanel for the IP address you are connecting from.

Adding an IP address to allow a remote MySQL connection

Step 1. Login to your Cpanel >> click on “Remote MySQL” under the Databases Section.


Step 2. Now, you will need to add the IP address into the field on the page and select “Add Host”. To get your local IP you can visit link :


Now, since you have added the IP address to remote MySQL connections you will be able to connect to the databases. You can add as many IP addresses as you need.

Allow all Ip’s using Wildcard entry

Step 3. If your IP address changes regularly, you can add a wildcard by using the % symbol. This will add all IP addresses in that range.

If you want to list all IP addresses in the range to you’d add the IP address 192.168.92.%

How to setup email forwarder and domain forwarder in cPanel

Email forwarding is a way to send an email that is delivered to one email address to a different email address.
Example: you have created,, etc.
In this article we will show you how to setup Email Forwarders in your cPanel. Then, we will show you how to forward all email for a domain.

Creating a forwarder in cPanel

Step 1. To access the forwarders menu, log into your cPanel, and navigate to section Mail > Forwarders: .


Step 2. Click on Add Forwarder.


Step 3. Put the name of the email address you wish to forward from in the first blank field. For example: for, put user in the first blank field.

You can choose to what address the incoming mail should be forwarded. The other option is to choose a failure message which will be returned to the sender.

Step 4. Click on Add Forwarder to add the forwarder.


Make sure you have spelled both email addresses correctly when adding forwarders.

That’s it. We are done with Email Forwarding. 😉

Now lets start with Forward All Emails For A Domain.

Step 1. Login to your cpanel and click on Forwarders in the Mail section.

Step 2. Click the Add Domain Forwarder button.


Step 3. Select the Domain you want to forward email from, in the drop-down box. Then, enter the domain you want to forward to. “Domain forwarding takes place only when a delivery is not successful. For example, a user sends an email to If is an existing email address or auto responder, then the email will not be forwarded. The email will be forwarded if is not an existing email address or auto responder.”


You are finished when you see a message similar to: “File updated ‘/etc/vdomainaliases/’ All email sent to will now be copied to”

How to clear caching in Drupal 7

It is very easy to clear caching within Drupal 7 by following these simple steps.

Deleting the cache content in Drupal 7:

Step 1 . Log into your Drupal 7 admin dashboard.

Step 2 . On the top menu bar, locate the Configuration option and click on it.


Step 3 . This brings you to the main category screen of Configuration. Find subcategory option named “Development” and click on the “Performance” option.

Step 4. Once on the Performance screen, hit the button on the screen at the top named Clear All Caches.
Click Save Configuration button to apply/save changes.


You have now cleared out all caches in Drupal 7. 🙂
